The New Standard in Precious Metals Protection

Operated by Legacy Bullion Vaults, a wholly owned company of Bullion Exchanges, our facility is the same former COMEX-rated depository once managed by Manfra, Tordella & Brookes (MTB). This Class 3-rated vault — the highest level of security recognized by Underwriters Laboratories — lies 60 feet underground in the heart of Manhattan’s Diamond District, one of the most secure commercial blocks in the world.

Located within the International Gem Tower, the vault benefits from a comprehensive private security infrastructure that includes 24/7 armored-team protection, advanced surveillance systems, and restricted access protocols. The building’s location within an area of constant NYPD presence further enhances overall security for tenants and visitors. Together, these measures ensure that your holdings are safeguarded in a facility trusted by global institutions — and now available to individual investors.

Vault Security: Designed for Complete Confidence

Our New York vault isn’t just safe — it’s engineered to be safer than Fort Knox. The facility’s reinforced design, advanced systems, and professional oversight create a multi-layered defense against intrusion, damage, or loss.

Key Security Features of the Building and Vault Include:

  • Over 350 high-definition surveillance cameras covering every corridor and access point.

  • Biometric iris scanners and double-door mantrap systems for controlled access.

  • X-ray screening of all deliveries and visitor belongings.

  • Armed security personnel on-site 24/7/365, with oversight by G4S Security consultants.

  • Ballistic-grade safe rooms and reinforced doors, added during the 2025 security expansion.

  • Underground construction, located roughly 60 feet below Manhattan’s surface.

  • Class 3 UL vault rating, the highest possible level of structural and intrusion resistance.

Every measure has been implemented with one mission: to provide world-class protection and complete peace of mind for every investor.

Why Store with Bullion Exchanges Vault Storage?

Choosing a professional vault is about more than convenience — it’s about control, protection, and value.

Here’s what sets Bullion Exchanges apart:

  • Segregated Storage: Every ounce you own is stored separately — never co-mingled or pooled.

  • Full Insurance Coverage: All holdings are insured by Lloyd’s of London, the gold standard in asset protection.

  • Regular Audits: Quarterly internal reviews and annual third-party GAAP audits ensure accuracy and accountability.

  • Transparency and Access: View, verify, and track your holdings 24/7 via the Vault Dashboard.

  • Affordable Rates: Institutional-level storage for as little as $9.99 per month.

  • Trusted Legacy: Over a decade of industry leadership, integrity, and customer satisfaction.

What Can Be Stored — and How Value Is Determined

Bullion Exchanges Vault Storage supports a wide range of assets beyond standard bullion products. In addition to gold, silver, platinum, and palladium bars and coins, clients may also store higher-value items such as numismatic coins, collectibles, fine jewelry, and select luxury pieces like watches.

Many of these holdings are best described as collectible assets, meaning their value reflects both intrinsic metal content and additional premiums tied to rarity, craftsmanship, condition, or market demand. While bullion is typically valued using live spot pricing, collectible assets are assessed using a combination of metal value and numismatic or collectible considerations. This approach ensures accurate documentation, transparent valuation, and appropriate care for every asset stored.

There’s Never Been a Better Time to Vault Your Metals

As global demand for physical precious metals continues to rise, secure professional storage has become an essential part of every investor’s strategy. At-home safes and private insurance plans may seem convenient, but they often come with hidden risks — from theft and damage to costly premiums and limited coverage.

Professional vaulting through Bullion Exchanges eliminates these challenges by offering:

  • Institutional-grade insurance included with every storage plan.

  • No added exposure to fluctuating home insurance premiums tied to high-value assets.

  • Total convenience and security, with your metals safely stored, verified, and accessible at all times.

When it comes to protecting your wealth, there’s simply no comparison.

Storing your precious metals in a professional vault isn’t just safer — it’s smarter, simpler, and built for long-term peace of mind.

Vault fees are based on the daily market value of your metals, calculated using LBMA PM benchmark pricing. Annual rates are:

Gold, Platinum, Palladium: 0.25%
Silver: 0.35%
Minimum monthly fee: $9.99
Your monthly Vault storage fee is based on the daily market value of the precious metals you store. Here’s how the calculation works:

1-Daily Market Price – Each day, we reference the London Bullion Market Association (LBMA) PM benchmark price for gold, silver, platinum, and palladium. This is the global standard for precious metals pricing.
2-Daily Value of Your Holdings – We multiply the LBMA PM price for each metal by the number of ounces you have stored that day.
3-Apply Daily Storage Rate – Your annual storage rate (e.g., 0.25% for gold) is divided by 365 to create a daily rate, which is then applied to your holdings’ daily value.
4-Monthly Total – We sum up all the daily charges over the month to determine your final fee.

This dynamic pricing model ensures that your storage costs accurately reflect the value of your portfolio - never overpay during market dips, and always benefit from transparent, fair billing.
Bullion Exchanges uses a daily pricing model based on the LBMA PM benchmark to give customers the most accurate and equitable storage fee possible. Because precious metals prices fluctuate regularly, calculating fees based on a daily rate - rather than a flat monthly snapshot - ensures that you’re only paying for the actual market value of your holdings each day.

This approach provides:
1-Fair billing during price volatility
2-Precise alignment with market trends
3-Full transparency with detailed monthly invoices

By billing based on daily values, you maintain full control and visibility over your storage costs, and only pay for what your metals are worth at the time.
Yes! As a welcome to new Vault users, your first month of storage is completely free- no minimum balance or purchase required. You will not be billed for any storage fees during your first 30 days, regardless of the quantity or type of precious metals stored. Standard monthly billing begins automatically after the free period ends.
Yes. All Bullion Exchanges Vault storage fees are subject to New York State sales tax at a rate of 8.875%, as the Vault facility is located in New York. This tax is applied to your monthly invoice and automatically included in your total billing amount. Tax applies whether your stored assets were purchased from Bullion Exchanges or sent in separately.
You will be billed on the 1st of each month, and your selected credit card will be charged on the 3rd business day of the month. Charges are non-refundable, and each invoice includes a detailed breakdown. For security purposes, statements are not emailed - instead, you’ll receive a notification when your latest statement is available to view in your online Vault dashboard.
Generally, precious metals storage fees are not tax-deductible for individuals. Please consult your tax professional regarding your specific situation.
Yes. You may request withdrawal of your metals at any time after the 30-day minimum holding period. A $100 early withdrawal fee applies to requests made before the 30-day minimum (unless you are selling to Bullion Exchanges).
Yes. Customers may request shipment of their stored metals via USPS, FedEx, UPS, or an armored carrier. A $50 per package processing fee applies, along with any postage, insurance, or carrier charges. Once prepared for delivery, your package will be shipped securely with full tracking information provided.
While customers cannot access the Vault facility directly, you may request to pick up your stored metals at the Bullion Exchanges retail store in Midtown Manhattan. This option offers convenience for local clients who prefer in-person collection. A $50 per package processing fee applies to all withdrawals, whether shipped or picked up in-store.
Log in to your Bullion Exchanges account at any time to view your stored inventory. You’ll see detailed information including metal type, quantity, current market value, and a pie chart visualization of your portfolio. Statements and inventory updates are accessible directly within your account dashboard.
Monthly statements are not sent via email for security reasons. Instead, you will receive an email notification alerting you when your latest statement is ready. To view it, simply log in to your Bullion Exchanges account, where all statements are securely posted in your online Vault dashboard. You can download or print these statements at your convenience. If needed, you may also request additional documentation or inventory reports through customer service.
If payment is not received within 30 days of billing, a late fee of $30 or 3% of the overdue amount (whichever is greater) will apply. Continued non-payment may result in a lien or sale of metals to cover past-due balances.
